Summary: The Passport Office offers two fast track services. Premium service cost £177 & takes 3 days and the Fast track service cost £142 & takes 1 week. You need to call the Passport Office on 0300 222 000 to book an appointment.   
The fast track passport service is available at the Passport Office Centres and requires you, or a nominated representative, to visit in person so that the passport can be processed and delivered within one week.
Currently charged at £142,00 for a standard adult, this service is only available to those who have previously held a UK passport and is available by appointment only.
Remember to book appointment early
As demand increases significantly during the summer months, appointments should be booked as soon as possible but can take up to two weeks, so make sure you leave enough time before you travel.
When attending the appointment, take all completed application forms and supporting documentation with you including a signed letter of authority if you are not the passport holder.
Not all applications qualify for fast track service
The following applications do not qualify for fast track service

First time applications,

replacing lost, stolen or damaged passports,
●
requesting extensions or
●
making complex changes to existing documents
Premium service
In certain Passport regional centres Premium three-day service is also available. This allows you to submit your and collect your passport within three working days. You will have to make an appointment and bear in mind that timings of these appointments depend on which Passport Office you want to attend. This service is currently charged at £177 for a standard adult application.
If your passport fails to be returned within the guaranteed timeframe, through no fault of your own, it is possible to claim the additional costs of these services back however the standard application fee is non-refundable.
